If you are phobic about blood you can become a psychiatric nurse if you wish.
I’d say being a journalist, however, is pretty much out of the question.

Have you really looked at nursing? Health care is big business. I am finishing my Bachelor’s of Health Science degree now.
I have worked as a medical assistant for many years, and have worked with a lot of nurses. Many RNs work with the business end of medicine. If I had it to do again, I would have become a nurse. They do a lot of functions in hospitals and clinic settings. There are many opportunities in nursing.
Yes, you will have to deal with blood in school. You may have to deal with it for a short time while you get experience, but after you get your degree you can do a whole lot of other health stuff too. Some work in offices filling paperwork, others work on busy hospital wards, some work in schools, some work in big factories, or prisons or military or……you can decide where you want to work.
